#VogueCeleb can instantly change the air temperature with just a glance. Innocence tinged with a hint of rebellion, Kim Tae-hyun—more commonly known as V—is a complex blend of charm and contradiction. This 29-year-old BTS member seems to be redefining what modern romanticism looks like for a new generation.
Now that V has just completed his military service and returned to the spotlight, he is continuously expanding his creative reach. From appearing at Paris Fashion Week to serving as a kickoff guest for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and subsequently becoming brand ambassadors for Celine and Cartier, he was known for his frequent actions. At the same time, BTS officially announced that it will release a new album and embark on a world tour in 2026.
I enjoy performing on stage, but being photographed is a different kind of joy. I grew up reading magazines, imagining that one day I could shoot works like this, and now that I can truly express it in my own way, that feeling is very interesting. 」

Announcing BTS: THE RETURN, a feature-length documentary I directed, premiering on @netflix.
Made in collaboration with HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC, alongside @thismachinefw and @thefutureiseast, the film follows @bts.bighitofficial as they reunite after completing military service and come back together in Los Angeles to make music again – returning to a shared creative space shaped by time apart and personal change.
This was a massive, often seemingly impossible project, and I’m thankful to everyone who helped bring it to life. I’ll be sharing more personal reflections as we get closer to the premiere.
BTS: THE RETURN premieres March 27 on Netflix, following BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, streaming live from Seoul on March 21.

1st place, BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) brand was analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 9,903,378 with a participation index of 147,412, a media index of 1,786,972, a communication index of 3,361,084, and a community index of 4,607,910. Compared to the brand reputation index of 7,976,571 in January, it increased by 24.16%.
 “BTS, which ranked first in the February 2026 big data analysis of boy group brand reputation, showed high analysis of ‘return, live broadcast, love’ in link analysis. In keyword analysis, ‘Army, Gwanghwamun performance, Arirang’ were highly analyzed. In positivity/negativity ratio analysis, the positivity ratio was analyzed to be 93.49%. Looking at the detailed analysis of BTS’ brand reputation, brand consumption increased by 13.86%, brand issues increased by 94.65%, brand communication increased by 29.49%, and brand expansion increased by 6.33%,” the brand big data analysis said.

Nearly four years since they announced they were taking a break for mandatory military service in South Korea, the biggest band in the world is returning with a fifth studio album, a massive global tour, and a definitive answer as to whether they’re stronger alone or together.
For our March cover story, GQ’s @raymondangas traveled to South Korea to hang with RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook as they prepare for their massive global comeback. At the link in bio, the men of @bts.bighitofficial share heartfelt reflections on the band’s growth, what’s in store for their fans, and whether they’ll be dancing together into their 60s.
We heard you liked our March cover — here’s the full widescreen version of our BTS of BTS. Spend some time with V, RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, and Jung Kook, the seven stars ourRM: BTS, the biggest band in the world, is preparing to release their most mature and sonically ambitious album yet. But with years of megastardom under their belts, is winning awards still a goal?
“I mean, we’ll try. Maybe we’ll submit our album to the Grammys again,” says @rkive, the leader of the group. “But I don’t know, we don’t want to be desperately eager for it… I think now, the most important thing is just that we are here back together again, we’re going to see the fans all over the world.”
Jin: Ten years ago, success to the members of BTS just meant being at the top of the charts. “Our only goal was to rank number one in the TV music shows,” @jin says, referring to the popular Korean television genre. “That would give us so much delight to be ranked number one.”
That was before they sold over 500 million units and racked up over 104 billion streams worldwide. Before they became the first Korean band to be nominated for a Grammy, to speak at the United Nations. Before they became a global cultural force, the best-selling Asian act ever, and one of the best-selling groups—of any genre, any nation, any time—period. “We grew as artists,” Jin says. “I think we can only be here because we were very hardworking back then.”
Yoongi: What can the world expect from BTS’s upcoming fifth album, their first group project since their nearly four-year break for mandatory South Korean military service?
“What I can tell you is that it’s going to be quite different from the BTS albums and sounds that you’ve been listening to,” says @agustd. “You’re going to see a more mature side of BTS this time around.”
JHope: What’s it like for international pop stars to put their music careers on hold to serve for roughly 18 to 21 months in the South Korean military?
“Humans are funny because they learn to adapt pretty quickly,” says BTS member @uarmyhope of his time as a drill instructor. “I do feel that I have become healthier and I got to learn more about life and different sides of society. I also got to know a lot of new people, which was a big plus. And being in the military and serving in the military is something that every man in Korea goes through.”
Jimin: BTS is the biggest band in the world, which makes ARMY, the band’s exceedingly global, impressively strategic, and lovingly protective fan base (the name stands for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth), the biggest force in music.
“I don’t even know how to give all the love back because I’ve received so much and the love is so unconditional. I’m always thinking about how I could give back with better performances, better songs,” says #Jimin of ARMY’s immense investment in the band. “It’s really hard to even know how big the love is because it’s just so vastly huge. I think it’s mutual. We impact the ARMY, but ARMY also impacts us—it goes both ways.”
Tae: When the members of BTS enlisted in the South Korean military, they staggered their service so that there would always be BTS members active in the public sphere as solo performers, a highly coordinated effort that ensured their beloved ARMY would never miss their presence.
But despite the members’ explosive solo successes, there was never any real doubt in their minds that they would be getting back together: “We all treasure BTS more than we treasure each one of us separately,” says @thv. “We debuted as a group, so I think that’s the core identity that we have.”
JK: What was it like for the members of BTS to reunite after nearly four years to make their highly-anticipated fifth studio album?
“It was really fun because we had three rooms in the studio,” says @mnijungkook, the youngest of the group and one of its most versatile singers. “Sometimes, we would pair up to go into a studio room. Sometimes, it would be just one of us and then we would switch pairs so that we could have different ideas and different types of collaborations… The whole process was very liberating and free, so it was very fun.”

BTS’ Jimin ranked first with a brand reputation index of 5,369,144, with a participation index of 206,286, a media index of 306,655, a communication index of 2,660,042, and a community index of 2,196,161. This represents a 29.62% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 4,142,149 in January.
 “BTS Jimin, who ranked first in the boy group individual brand reputation in February 2026, showed high results in link analysis for the words ‘attractive,’ ‘breakthrough,’ and ‘record,’ and ‘Army,’ ‘Who,’ and ‘Arirang’ in keyword analysis. In the positivity/negativity ratio analysis, the positivity ratio was analyzed to be 92.94%.”
BTS’ Jungkook ranked second with a brand reputation index of 4,811,777, with a participation index of 133,975, a media index of 236,942, a communication index of 2,282,329, and a community index of 2,158,531. This represents a 29.71% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 3,709,736 in January.
BTS’s Jin ranked third with a brand reputation index of 3,855,903, with a participation index of 176,779, a media index of 277,384, a communication index of 1,652,194, and a community index of 1,749,546.
