Bangtan Sonyeondan – 방탄소년단

BTS, 방탄소년단  Bangtan Sonyeondan, also known as the Bangtan Boys, are a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 their name was short for “Bulletproof Boy Scouts,” referring to the band’s will to “shield themselves from the prejudices and oppression of the world.”   

BTS debuted under Big Hit Entertainment (now known as HYBE Corporation) on 13th June 2013 formed by producer Bang Si-hyuk, formerly a JYP Entertainment producer who left to create  Big Hit. He wanted to create a music company that gave artists the creative and artistic  freedom to express themselves through their music and hence the company ethos was “music for artists and healing”. Before their official debut, the members underwent a period of training and preparation. 

BTS was formed by Big Hit Entertainment through auditions and casting calls with process starting in 2010 the final lineup at debut consisted of RM (formerly known as Rap Monster), Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

The members underwent rigorous training in various areas, including singing, dancing, and even foreign languages. They also took part in writing and composing music during this time.

Bangtan Blog and Social Media Presence:

Prior to their debut, BTS members actively communicated with fans through platforms like Twitter, YouTube, and the Bangtan Blog. This helped them build a dedicated fan base even before their official debut.

In the lead-up to their debut, BTS released a series of “Comeback Trailers” featuring individual members. These trailers showcased their skills and personalities while building anticipation for their debut.
